Then He founded the innovative Structural Dynamic Theory, on which he named a new application of Chinese Tui Na Massage as Structural Dynamic Therapy.

Structural Dynamic Theory is a new study of dynamic human body, a new way to study Pathology. In Structural Dynamic Theory, pain is considered as a type of signal which is indicating tension or physical conflict inside human body; various dysfunctions of motor system are resulting not only from defecting of tissue or organ but also from the change of biomechanical relation, space between body components. Usually, a micro misalignment of a joint can cause a long-lasting malfunction and inflammation at more than one soft tissue component.

For example, a chronic tendonitis is not just single inflammation, there is a mechanism cause the inflammation, and this mechanism is originated from a misalignment at a nearby joint that is designated within a motor machinery structure.

In Traditional Chinese Tui Na Massage Therapy, a number of techniques, such as Bone Setting, are utilized to solve structural related problems. Human Proprioception is also a useful tool to evaluate the progress of this innovative therapy.

As a Chinese Canadian, Dr. Guan is proud to practice inventive medicine and has had tremendous success treating hard-to-treat chronic conditions in Victoria.
